Power Search Operators on Twitter

Twitter allows you to do some amazing power searches but it's not particularly widely known - for instance you can search for Tweets sent on a certain subject within a defined Geographic area.

You can type these special searches directly into the Twitter search box on the right hand side of your homepage. (Alternatively, you can use the Twitter search form to automatically build an advanced query.)

Search Terms that contain.... Find tweets that...
twitter search containing both "twitter" and "search". This is the default operator.
"internet cafe" containing the exact phrase "internet cafe".
domainer OR domaining containing either "domainer" or "domaining" (or both).
berry -acai containing "berry" but not "acai".
#domains containing the hashtag "domains".
from:scobleizer sent from person "scobleizer".
to:dnjournal sent to person "dnjournal".
@mashable referencing person "mashable".
"happy hour" near:"new york" containing the exact phrase "happy hour" and sent near "new york".
near:NYC within:50mi sent within 15 miles of "NYC".
wolverine since:2009-05-15 containing "wolverine" and sent since date "2009-05-15" (year-month-day).
tla until:2009-06-01 containing "tla" and sent up to date "2009-06-01".
movie -scary :) containing "movie", but not "scary", and with a positive attitude.
flight :( containing "flight" and with a negative attitude.
traffic ? containing "traffic" and asking a question.
funny filter:links containing "funny" and linking to URLs.
news source:twitterfeed containing "news" and entered via TwitterFeed
